- What is RightsRoom?
- An AI-native rights room that runs your foreign-rights business in one place. - How is it different from the rights software I use today?
- The tool you use today stores what you type into it. RightsRoom reads what you throw at it and builds the database for you — so the data entry largely disappears. It keeps improving over time rather than standing still, and it surfaces new deal opportunities, which a system of record can't do.
- Do I have to enter my data by hand — or can I bring what I've already got?
- No hand-entry — that's the point. Send your records in whatever shape they're in — spreadsheets, PDFs, scanned contracts, Word files, even pasted emails — and RightsRoom reads them and builds your rights room around your data. There's no rigid template to reformat to, and you stop being the data-entry clerk for your own business.
- Isn't switching a big migration project?
- No. There's no migration project to manage — you send what you've got and your rights room is built from it. You can see it working on your own list before you decide anything.
- How long does it take to get set up?

- Can it help me find new rights deals, not just track the ones I've done?

- Can it write up my follow-ups after a book fair or trip?
- Yes. Send it your notes from your meetings and it drafts a follow-up to each of your clients, in your voice, with your deal records already updated underneath — ready for you to read, adjust and send. The trip ends; the write-up doesn't follow you home.
- Is this just a generic AI chatbot?
- No. This isn't a chatbot you ask to summarise a document — it's frontier AI doing the actual work: reading your files, building your database, drafting your contracts and follow-ups. The clever part is deliberately kept under the hood; the result is what you get.
- What if the AI gets something wrong?
- Nothing that reaches your clients goes out without you. Drafts are drafts — you review and send. And anything to do with money is handled by precise, rules-based engines, not guesswork: it reconciles the numbers, you approve them.
- Is my data — and my authors' and clients' data — safe and private?
- Yes. Your data is held under UK GDPR, isolated to your account and encrypted, never shared and never sold, and you can export or delete it at any time. Your clients' confidential information is never handed to an AI to process on its own — the AI builds your rights room under human control, not an automated pipe reading your private files. The third-party services we rely on (such as hosting and email delivery) are named in our privacy policy, as the law requires.
- Are you a real company I can trust?
